ONE14 Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: September 28, 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the website located at www.one14.one (the “Website”), the ONE14 QARDIO mobile application (the “App”), or registering for any ONE14 challenge, race, or event (collectively, the “Services”), operated by ONE14 Challenge, a New Jersey nonprofit corporation (“ONE14,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Services, registering for an event, or creating an App account, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that a parent or legal guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf if you are a minor.

2. Description of Services

ONE14 is a global community fostering a culture of QARDIO (working out while listening to Qur’an), Qur’an memorization, and endurance running challenges through in-person races, virtual challenges, an online store, and the ONE14 QARDIO App, which is built on QARDIO session tracking, individual and community challenges, and community encouragement.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

Some features require creating an App account or completing an event/store registration form. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep any login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Event Registration, Assumption of Risk, and Release of Liability

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

Participation in ONE14 challenges and races involves physical exertion — including running and walking — and carries inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, permanent disability, death, and property damage or loss. These risks include, without limitation:

  • Falls, trips, and collisions with other participants, bystanders, or obstacles;

  • Injuries resulting from uneven surfaces, weather conditions, traffic, animals, or terrain;

  • Injuries from inadequate or inappropriate equipment or safety gear; and

  • Health risks, including dehydration, heatstroke, hypothermia, and other physical conditions.

By registering for or participating in any ONE14 event, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are participating voluntarily, with knowledge of the risks involved, and you assume all risks associated with participation, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.

  • You are physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate, or you have consulted a physician and received clearance to do so, and you agree to stop and seek medical attention if you experience symptoms that could affect your ability to safely participate.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue ONE14 Challenge, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, sponsors, and event partners (the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, expenses, or liabilities arising from your participation, including those caused by the negligence of the Released Parties.

  • You consent to receive necessary medical treatment in the event of an injury or medical emergency, and you understand you are responsible for any resulting medical expenses. The Released Parties are not liable for providing, arranging, or failing to provide medical treatment.

At the time of registration for an in-person Event, you will also be asked to sign a separate Event Waiver and Release of Liability. That document contains the full, event-specific terms governing your participation — including the release described above — and controls over this Section in the event of any conflict for matters relating to that Event.

4A. Using the App Safely

The App helps you combine physical activity with listening to the Qur'an. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Talk to a physician before starting a new exercise routine, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have not exercised recently, and stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness or shortness of breath. Stay aware of your surroundings while using the App, particularly when listening through headphones near traffic. Keep the volume at a level that lets you hear what is around you, do not look at or operate the App while driving or cycling, and follow local laws and the rules of the places where you walk or run. Physical activity you undertake while using the App is voluntary and at your own risk.

4B. Distance and Other Measurements

Distance, pace, speed, route maps, step counts, points and other figures in the App are estimates. They are based on your device's GPS, which can be inaccurate or unavailable — for example indoors, among tall buildings, under bridges, or when your device limits background activity — and, where you allow it, on your device's step counter. They may differ from other apps and devices, and they are the figures sent to Strava if you connect it. Do not rely on the App for navigation, for your safety, for medical purposes, or for any decision where an exact measurement matters.

5. Photo and Media Release

If you register for and attend a ONE14 Event, photographs or videos may be taken during that Event, and you consent to ONE14 Challenge using those photographs and videos — in any media format, including for promotional or marketing purposes — without compensation. We do not capture or generate photos, video, or audio of you outside of Events. With respect to the App and community spaces (such as the community feed or linked social media channels), we may reference or share content you have already chosen to make publicly available there — for example, a screenshot of something you posted to the community feed, or a public comment you made on a ONE14 social media post. You control what you share in these spaces.

6. Children and Family Participants

Children may participate in designated events, such as the Kids Fun Run, with the registration and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms — including the release of liability and photo/media release above — on the child’s behalf and confirms responsibility for the child’s participation and safety.

7. Community Guidelines and User Content

The App's community feed and any linked community groups (such as our WhatsApp group) are for respectful, supportive engagement consistent with ONE14's mission. Sharing to the community feed is always your choice. When you share a session, other members can see your display name, profile photo and the session summary and — only if you choose to include it — the map of your route, including where it starts and ends. Think before sharing a route that starts or ends at your home or another private place.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to post content, or use a display name or photo, that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexual or violent, or that impersonates anyone (including scholars, public figures or other members), and not to use the community to harass, threaten or spam others.

You can report a post or a member, and block a member, from within the App. We review reports and may remove content, and suspend or remove accounts, that break these guidelines. For concerns, contact support@one14.one.

You keep ownership of what you post. By sharing it, you give ONE14 a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store and display it within the Services for as long as it remains shared, and as described in Section 5. You can remove a post at any time.

8. Payments, Purchases, and Refunds

All registrations are final. There are no refunds under any circumstances, including event cancellation, personal circumstances, or inability to participate. Registrations are also non-transferable between ticket types or challenge levels (including selected surah and distance) once submitted. All store sales are final unless otherwise stated at checkout. In-app purchases are final and not eligible for return or refund, as they are digital products that are delivered or made available immediately upon purchase.

9. Intellectual Property

The ONE14 name, logo, “ONE14 QARDIO” branding, and Website/App content are the property of ONE14 Challenge or its licensors. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

10. Qur’an Content and Monetization

Qur’an content (audio, text, and translation) available in the ONE14 QARDIO App is provided through one or more third-party sources. ONE14 does not create, own, or generate revenue from this content, and does not charge for access to it. The specific source or sources used may change without notice or update to these Terms.

Any monetization within the App — including paid features or in-app purchases — relates solely to the App’s QARDIO sessions (combining fitness with Qur’an) and is not related to the Qur’an content on its own.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party services, such as WhatsApp, Strava, Google (including Google Maps and Sign in with Google), Apple (Sign in with Apple), social media platforms, and the Qur'an content providers described in Section 10. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or practices.

Strava. Connecting Strava is optional. If you connect it, you authorize ONE14 to upload your QARDIO sessions to your Strava account as described in our Privacy Policy, and you remain responsible for your Strava account and its privacy settings, which control who can see your activities there. You can disconnect at any time in the App; activities already uploaded remain on Strava until you delete them there. ONE14 QARDIO is compatible with Strava but is not developed, sponsored or endorsed by Strava.

Google Maps. The App includes Google Maps features and content, which it uses to show your route and your position during and after a session. Your use of Google Maps features and content in the App is subject to the then-current versions of the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service at https://maps.google.com/help/terms_maps/ and the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ONE14 CHALLENGE AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND VOLUNTEERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY EVENT. This limitation is in addition to, and does not narrow, the release described in Section 4 or the Event-specific waiver you sign at registration.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ONE14 Challenge from any and all claims, actions, suits, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or resulting from your violation of these Terms or your participation in an Event, including claims brought by third parties.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or Services at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason, with or without notice.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For claims relating specifically to an in-person Event, the separate Event Waiver and Release of Liability you sign at registration will govern, including any jurisdiction or venue terms stated there. 

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
