A global virtual walk on December 2, 2023, for the people of Gaza who live in a 5 mile X 25 mile cage.
We walk for people who refuse to run
We are witnessing our family being killed in their homeland, a land reduced over time to a mere 5 miles by 25 miles. A land that, with every passing second, is actively being transformed into a mass grave. Helpless, we are all glued to our social media feeds, doom-scrolling, watching their death and destruction in real-time.
We are left feeling outraged and powerless with our hands tied behind our backs.
In the spirit of Sayidda Hajer, we will leave the comfort of our homes and walk, raising our hands and imploring Allah. Just as she, as a mother, begged Allah for relief, we will also implore Allah to help our family, who, like her, do not have food, water, or freedom.
On Saturday, December 2, we will leave our homes and walk or run any distance between 5 and 25 miles.
